Lawrence Michael Levine (1976, USA) is an American actor, writer, and filmmaker, best known for writing and directing the films Gabi on the Roof in July, Wild Canaries, and Black Bear. In 2009, Lawrence served as an executive producer for, Jess Weixler (TEETH) and Jesse L. Martin (RENT, LAW & ORDER), which premiered as a narrative feature in competition at the Sundance Film Festival. In 2010, Lawrence wrote, directed and starred in the feature film GABI ON THE ROOF IN JULY, which played numerous festivals.Lawrence Michael Levine holds a BA in Creative Writing from Skidmore College (English Department Honors) and an MFA in Film from Columbia University.
