Σύνοψη 

Το "Beeswax" περιστρέφεται γύρω από τις προσωπικές και επαγγελματικές περιπέτειες των δίδυμων αδελφών Τζίνι και Λόρεν, που ζουν στο Όστιν του Τέξας. Η Τζίνι είναι συνιδιοκτήτρια ενός καταστήματος vintage ρούχων με την Αμάντα, μια ημι-αποξενωμένη φίλη της, η οποία φοβάται ότι προσπαθεί να τερματίσει τη συνεργασία τους. Η Λόρεν ζει μια πιο χαλαρή, λιγότερο δεμένη ζωή και σκέφτεται να φύγει εντελώς από τη χώρα. Synopsis 

"Beeswax" revolves around the personal and professional entanglements of twin sisters Jeannie and Lauren played by extraordinary newcomers Tilly and Maggie Hatcher living in Austin, Texas. Jeannie co-owns a vintage clothing store with Amanda, a semi-estranged friend who she fears is trying to end their partnership. Lauren leads a looser, less tethered existence and is considering getting out of the country altogether. When Jeannie receives an email from Amanda threatening a lawsuit, she calls her law student ex-boyfriend Merrill for help. Eager for distraction from his own problems, he begins helping the sisters with theirs.

Andrew Bujalski (1977, USA) γεννήθηκε στη Βοστώνη και σπούδασε κινηματογράφο στο Τμήμα Οπτικών και Περιβαλλοντικών Σπουδών του Χάρβαρντ. Έγραψε και σκηνοθέτησε τις ταινίες FUNNY HA HA (2002), MUTUAL APPRECIATION (2005). Οι πρώτες του ταινίες ήταν σε όλες στις λίστες των New York Times ως οι "Καλύτερες της Χρονιάς". Ο Μπουγιάλσκι έγραψε και τα δύο σενάρια και εμφανίστηκε ως ηθοποιός, παίζοντας σημαντικό ρόλο και στις δύο ταινίες. Οι ταινίες BEESWAX (2009) και COMPUTER CHESS (2013), η τρίτη και η τέταρτη ανεξάρτητη ταινία του Μπουγιάλσκι, γυρίστηκαν στο Όστιν, όπου ζει τώρα ο σκηνοθέτης. Andrew Bujalski (1977, USA) Andrew Bujalski was born in Boston in 1977 and studied film at Harvard’s Department of Visual and Environmental Studies. He wrote and directed the films FUNNY HA HA (2002), MUTUAL APPRECIATION (2005). His first films all appeared on the New York Times’s “Best of the Year” lists. Bujalski wrote both screenplays, and appears as an actor, playing a major role in both films. BEESWAX (2009) and COMPUTER CHESS (2013), Bujalski's third and fourth independent films, were filmed in Austin, where the director lives now. COMPUTER CHESS is a period film set at a computer programming tournament in 1980, premiered at the Sundance FF and won the Alfred Sloan Feature Film Prize. His film RESULTS (2015), premiered at Sundance FF. SUPPORT THE GIRLS (2018) had its world premiere at SXSW and will be released by Magnolia PIctures.
