Ο Δημήτρης Ζούρας γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα το 1994. Σπούδασε Σκηνοθεσία Κινηματογράφου στη Σχολή Κινηματογράφου Σταυράκου, αποφοίτησε το 2016. Έχει συμμετάσχει σε εργαστήρια υποκριτικής και έχει παίξει σε ερασιτεχνικές θεατρικές παραστάσεις. Έχει συμμετάσχει σε ταινίες μικρού και μεγάλου μήκους ως βοηθός σκηνοθέτη και Production Assistant (PA).
Από το 2016 είναι μέλος του «Athens Casting», ενός καθιερωμένου πρακτορείου κάστινγκ με έδρα την Αθήνα, δουλεύοντας ως διευθυντής κάστινγκ για διαφημιστικά και ταινίες μεγάλου μήκους. Μερικές από τις ταινίες στις οποίες εργάστηκε περιλαμβάνουν κριτικά αναγνωρισμένες παραγωγές που παρήχθησαν ή συνπαρήχθησαν στην Ελλάδα, όπως το «Pity» (2018) σκηνοθεσία Μπάμπης Μακρίδης, «All the Pretty Little Horses» (2020) σκηνοθεσία Μιχάλης Κωνσταντάτος, «Monday» (2020) σκηνοθεσία Αργύρης Παπαδημητρόπουλος, «Broadway» (2022) σκηνοθεσία Χρήστος Μασσάλας, «Bleat» (2022) σκηνοθεσία Γιώργος Λάνθιμος, «Gorgona» σκηνοθεσία Εύη Καλογηροπούλου, «Sacrifice» σκηνοθεσία Romain Gavras.
Έχει γράψει και σκηνοθετήσει 4 ταινίες μικρού μήκους, οι οποίες έχουν επιλεγεί και βραβευτεί σε φεστιβάλ ανά τον κόσμο. Οι ταινίες έχουν γυριστεί στην Αθήνα, εξερευνώντας θέματα σύνθετων οικογενειακών δυναμικών και σχέσεων, φύλου και σεξουαλικότητας. Η τέταρτη ταινία του, «Fouetté», παράγεται από την ΕΡΤ και συνπαράγεται από το Ίδρυμα Ωνάση. Αυτήν την περίοδο εργάζεται στο σενάριο της πρώτης του ταινίας μεγάλου μήκους, «Disqualifié», η οποία έχει επιλεγεί στο Les Arcs Co-Production Village.

Dimitris Zouras was born in Athens in 1994. He studied film direction at the Stavrakos Film School graduating in 2016. He has participated in numerous acting workshops and has been involved as an actor in amateur theater productions. He was part of short and feature films as an assistant director and PA.
Since 2016 he has been a member of “Athens Casting” an established casting agency based in Athens working as a casting director for commercials and feature films. He has written and directed 4 short films, that they are selected and awarded in festivals around the world. The films are filmed in Athens, exploring themes of complex family dynamics and relationships, gender and sexuality. His fourth film ''Fouetté" is produced by ERT and co-produced by the Onassis Foundation. Currently, he is working on the script for his first feature-length film, “Disqualifié” that is selected to Les Arcs Co production village.
