Negu Collective: Γνωριστήκαμε πριν από 4 χρόνια στο ESCAC, όπου, σε ηλικία 18 ετών, μπήκαμε για να σπουδάσουμε κινηματογράφο. Καθώς αναπτύσσαμε τα πρότζεκτ μας για τη σχολή, δημιουργήσαμε μια συλλογικότητα ανθρώπων που μοιραζόμασταν τις ανησυχίες και τις οπτικές μας. Με περισσότερη συντροφικότητα, εμπειρία και πόρους, επεκτείναμε τη συλλογικότητα και αρχίσαμε να προσθέτουμε νέα μέλη από τη βιομηχανία του κινηματογράφου και πέρα από το ακαδημαϊκό περιβάλλον. Τώρα, με τη συλλογικότητα ισχυρότερη από ποτέ, συνεχίζουμε να συσσωρεύουμε ενθουσιασμό και πάθος για να συνεχίσουμε να χτίζουμε και να δημιουργούμε έργα που μιλούν για την πολυπλοκότητα της ύπαρξης και την αυθεντικότητα της ζωής.

We met 4 years ago at ESCAC, where, at the age of 18, we entered to study film. As we developed our projects for school, we built a collective of people who shared concerns and perspectives when approaching these creations. With more complicity, experience, and resources, we expanded the collective and started adding new members from the film industry and beyond the academic environment. Now, with the collective stronger than ever, we continue to accumulate enthusiasm and passion to keep building and generating projects that speak to the complexity of existence and the authenticity of life.

Το 2011, η παρατεταμένη ένοπλη σύγκρουση στη Χώρα των Βάσκων φαίνεται να φτάνει στο τέλος της. Μια νεαρή γυναίκα δραπετεύει με έναν ξεκάθαρο στόχο: να περάσει τα σύνορα, το "muga". Γνωρίζει ότι αυτό θα την απομακρύνει από το σπίτι και τις ρίζες της, όπου δεν είναι πλέον ασφαλής. Κατά τη διαφυγή της, φτάνει στη Zubieta, ένα συνοριακό χωριό όπου αρχαίοι μύθοι και σύγχρονες συγκρούσεις μοιάζουν να συγκλίνουν. Κρυμμένη στη σοφίτα ενός από τα σπίτια της πόλης του χωριού, αρχίζει να παρατηρεί μια αμετάβλητη καθημερινότητα.

Synopsis

In 2011, the prolonged armed conflict in the Basque Country appears to come to an end. A young woman flees with a clear goal: to cross the border, the “muga”. She knows this will take her away from her home and roots, where she is no longer safe. During her escape, she arrives in Zubieta, a border village where ancient myths and modern conflicts seem to converge. Hidden in the attic of one of the town’s houses in the village, she begins to observe an unchanging everyday life.
