Radu Jude (Ρουμανία, 1977)

 

Το 2006 γύρισε την πρώτη του μικρού μήκους ταινία, «The Tube with a Hat», η οποία κέρδισε περισσότερα από 50 διεθνή βραβεία. Η πρώτη του μεγάλου μήκους ταινία, «The Happiest Girl in the World» (2009) συμμετείχε σε περισσότερα από 50 διεθνή φεστιβάλ. Οι επόμενες ταινίες του, όπως τα «Aferim!», «Scarred Hearts» και «Everybody in Our Family», απέσπασαν μια σειρά διακρίσεων: την Αργυρή Άρκτο Σκηνοθεσίας στην Μπερλινάλε το 2015, το Ειδικό Βραβείο της Επιτροπής στο Λοκάρνο το 2016 και την υποψηφιότητα για το Καλύτερο Σενάριο στα βραβεία της Ευρωπαϊκής Ακαδημίας Κινηματογράφου. Το «I Do Not Care If We Go Down in History as Barbarians» (2018) κέρδισε την Κρυστάλλινη Σφαίρα Καλύτερης Ταινίας και το Label Europa Cinema Prize στο Κάρλοβι Βάρι το 2018. Η τελευταία του ταινία, το «Bad Luck Banging or Loony Porn», κέρδισε τη Χρυσή Άρκτο στη Μπερλινάλε το 2021.

In 2006, he made his first short film, titled “The Tube with a Hat”, winner of more than 50 international awards. Jude's feature debut “The Happiest Girl in the World” (2009) was selected for more than 50 international film festivals. His next films, such as “Aferim!”, “Scarred Hearts” and “Everybody in Our Family” won multiple awards; Silver Bear for Best Director in Berlinale 2015, Special Jury Prize in Locarno 2016 and an EFA nomination for Best Scriptwriter. The film "I Do Not Care If We Go Down in History as Barbarians" (2018) won the Crystal Globe for Best Film and Label Europa Cinema Prize in Karlovy Vary in 2018. His latest feature, “Bad Luck Banging or Loony Porn”, was the Golden Bear winner of Berlinale 2021.
