Σπούδασε Κινηματογράφο στο Creativity & Artistic Creation Program στο Ίδρυμα Calouste Gulbenkian, καθώς και στη Γερμανική Ακαδημία Κινηματογράφου και Τηλεόρασης στο Βερολίνο και στη Διεθνή Ακαδημία Κινηματογράφου του Σάο Πάολο. Επίσης, σπούδασε φωτογραφία στο AR.CO, στη Λισαβόνα. Η Claúdia έχει γράψει τη μικρού μήκους τριλογία «Film de Semana» («Weekend»), «Um Dia Frio» («A Cold Day») και «Luz da Manhã» («Morning Light»). Η πρώτη της μεγάλου μήκους ταινία ήταν το «Ama-San», ένα πορτρέτο των "γυναικών της θάλασσας" της Ιαπωνίας απέσπασε πολυάριθμα βραβεία παγκοσμίως, ενώ ακολούθησε το «No Escuro do Cinema Descalço os Sapatos» («In the Darkness of the Theater I Take off my Shoes»), το οποίο ακολουθεί τα projects του Εθνικού Μπαλέτου της Πορτογαλίας, εστιάζοντας κυρίως στους χορευτές και την καθημερινότητά τους. Το «Amor Fati» έκανε πρεμιέρα το 2020, ενώ με το «Wolf and the Dog», το οποίο έκανε πρεμιέρα στο 79ο Φεστιβάλ Βενετίας και βραβεύτηκε με το  Giornate degli Autori Award, επέστρεψε στη μυθοπλασία. Οι ταινίες της Cláudia έχουν επιλεχθεί και βραβευτεί σε κάποια από τα μεγαλύτερα φεστιβάλ (Locarno, Rotterdam, Visions du Reel, Cinema du Reel, Karlovy Vary, Art of the Real - Lincoln Center, κλπ.). Πέρα από την ενασχόλησή της με τη σκηνοθεσία, ασχολείται ενεργά και με τη φωτογραφία, δημιουργώντας video projects για διάφορες παραστάσεις, ενώ διδάσκει επίσης στο AR.CO και το Catholic University of Porto. Η δουλειά της, είτε σχετίζεται με κινηματογράφο, είτε με φωτογραφία, είτε με ντοκιμαντέρ και μυθοπλασία, βασίζεται στην εγγύτητα που δημιουργεί με τους ανθρώπους που απεικονίζει.

She attended the Creativity & Artistic Creation Program of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, in partnership with the German Film und Fernsehakademie Berlin and the São Paulo International Film Acadamy. She also studied Photography at AR.CO in Lisbon. Claúdia is the author of the short film trilogy "Film de Semana" ("Weekend"), "Um Dia Frio" ("A Cold Day") and "Luz da Manhã" ("Morning Light"). "Ama-san", a portrait of Japanese divers, was her feature debut, receiving dozens of awards around the world, followed by "No Escuro do Cinema Descalço os Sapatos" ("In the Darkness of the Theater I Take off my Shoes"), a film that follows the projects of The National Ballet of Portugal, focusing mainly each dancer’s silent and structural work. "Amor Fati" premiered in 2020; with "Lobo e Cão" ("Wolf and Dog"), which premiered at the 79th Venice Film Festival and won the Giornate degli Autori Award, she returned to fiction. Cláudia’s films have been selected and awarded at the most prestigious film festivals, including Locarno, Rotterdam, Visions du Reel, Cinema du Reel, Karlovy Vary, Art of the Real - Lincoln Center, etc. Besides her work as a filmmaker, she has developed a career as a photographer, creating video projects for theatre, performances and fine arts, while she’s also a guest professor at AR.CO and the Catholic University of Porto. Her work, whether in film, photography, documentary or fiction, is based on its proximity to the people it portrays.
