Η Εύη Καλογηροπούλου είναι σκηνοθέτης και εικαστικός καλλιτέχνης με έδρα την Αθήνα. Η Εύη έχει σπουδάσει στο Οικονομικό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών, στην Ανωτάτη Σχολή Καλών Τεχνών και κατέχει Μεταπτυχιακό (Master) στο Moving Image από το Royal College of Art. Τα έργα βίντεο αρτ της έχουν προβληθεί σε χώρους όπως η Whitechapel Gallery και η Sadie Coles Gallery στο Λονδίνο. Υπήρξε καλλιτέχνης σε πρόγραμμα φιλοξενίας (Residency) στα Somerset House Studios. Συμμετείχε στην έκθεση «The Same River Twice», που διοργανώθηκε από το Ίδρυμα ΔΕΣΤΕ και το New Museum στη Νέα Υόρκη. Το 2020 πραγματοποίησε ατομική έκθεση με γλυπτά και βιντεοέργα στο Kunstverein της Δρέσδης. Το έργο της διερευνά θέματα αποκλεισμού και διαπολιτισμικής ταυτότητας, γυναικείων μορφών στο πλαίσιο της αρχαίας ελληνικής μυθολογίας και μετα-αποκαλυπτικών περιβαλλόντων. Η πρώτη της ταινία μικρού μήκους, Motorway 65, εντάχθηκε στο Επίσημο Διαγωνιστικό Πρόγραμμα του Φεστιβάλ Καννών το 2020. Η ταινία μικρού μήκους On Xerxes’ Throne τιμήθηκε με το Βραβείο Canal+ στο 61ο Semaine de la Critique στις Κάννες. Το 2023 σκηνοθέτησε το My Alexandria στην Αλεξάνδρεια της Αιγύπτου, για τη σειρά οπτικών ποιημάτων του Onassis Culture, εμπνευσμένη από το έργο του Κ.Π. Καβάφη. Το πρότζεκτ, μέρος του Archive of Desire, παρουσιάστηκε στο New Museum της Νέας Υόρκης με αφορμή τη συμπλήρωση 160 ετών από τη γέννηση του ποιητή. Η πρώτη της μεγάλου μήκους ταινία, GORGONÀ η οποία έλαβε το Eurimages Development Award, το Cinemart 2021 Award και το ARTE Award στο Cinéfondation Atelier στις Κάννες το 2021 έκανε πρεμιέρα στο Settimana Internazionale della Critica (SIC) το 2025, στο Φεστιβάλ Κινηματογράφου της Βενετίας.
Evi Kalogiropoulou is a film director and visual artist based in Athens. Evi has studied at the Athens University of Economics and Business, at the Athens School Fine Arts and she holds a Master in Moving Image from the Royal College of Art . Evi’s video art had various screenings in spaces such as the Whitechapel Gallery and Sadie Cole Gallery in London. She has been an artist in Residency in Somerset House studios. She participated in the exhibition “The Same River Twice” organized by The DESTE Foundation and New Museum in New York. She had her solo show with sculptures and video work in Kunstverein in Dresden 2020. Her work explores themes of inclusion and exclusion, cross-cultural identity, female figures within the framework of Ancient Greek mythology, and post-apocalyptic environments. Her first short film, Motorway 65, was part of the Official Selection at the Cannes Film Festival in 2020. Her short film On Xerxes’ Throne received the Canal+ Award at the 61st Semaine de la Critique in Cannes. In 2023, she filmed My Alexandria in Alexandria, Egypt, for the Onassis Culture series of visual poems inspired by the work of C.P. Cavafy. The project, part of the Archive of Desire, was presented in New Museum of New York to celebrate the 160th anniversary of the poet’s birth. Her debut feature, GORGONÀ recipient of the Eurimages Development Award, the Cinemart 2021 Award, and the ARTE Award at the Cinéfondation Atelier in Cannes 2021 premiered at the Settimana Internazionale della Critica (SIC) in 2025 at the Venice Film Festival.
