Σεπτέμβριος 2007. Ζωηρή και περίεργη, εγγράφεται στο τοπικό Τεχνικό Λύκειο για την τελευταία της χρονιά, ανακαλύπτοντας ότι είναι η μόνη κοπέλα σε μια τάξη αποκλειστικά αγοριών. Γρήγορα γίνεται το κέντρο της προσοχής, ειδικά για τρεις φίλους: τον γοητευτικό και κλειστό χαρακτήρα Αντέρο, τον εξωστρεφή γυναικά Παζίνι και τον γλυκό και προστατευτικό Μίτις. September 2007. From her home in Sweden, Fred moves to Trieste on the Adriatic Sea with her father, who has taken a new management job in the Northeastern Italian city. Feisty and curious, she enrols in the local Technical High School for her Senior Year, finding herself as the only girl in an all-male class. She quickly becomes the centre of attention, especially for three friends: the fascinating and reserved Antero, the outgoing womanizer Pasini, and the sweet and protective Mitis. The three have been a unit for as long as they can remember. Fred’s arrival disrupts their equilibrium and puts their longstanding friendship to the test. As each of the boys secretly desires Fred for himself, she yearns to be accepted into their circle and become one of them. But to truly belong, she is asked to sacrifice more and more.

Η Καρολίν Ντερουά Πεανό (1978) είναι Γαλλίδα σκηνοθέτιδα που έχει δημιουργήσει αρκετές πολυβραβευμένες ταινίες μικρού μήκους, μεταξύ των οποίων η L’Étoile de mer (Directors’ Fortnight, Κάννες 2006), η Le feu, le sang, les étoiles (Φεστιβάλ Λοκάρνο, Μεγάλο Βραβείο στο Μπιλμπάο) και η Children of the Night (Ασημένιος Λέοπαρντ, Λοκάρνο, κυκλοφορησε στις γαλλικές αίθουσες το 2012 από την Ad Vitam). Caroline Deruas Peano(1978) is a French director who has made several acclaimed short films, including L’Étoile de mer(Directors’ Fortnight, Cannes 2006), Le feu, le sang, les étoiles (Locarno Festival, Grand Prize at Bilbao), and Children of the Night (Silver Leopard, Locarno, released in French cinemas in 2012 by Ad Vitam). A former resident at the Villa Medici in Rome, she shot her first feature film there, Daydreams, released in 2017 by Les Films du Losange. As a screenwriter, she has collaborated with filmmakers such as Yann Gonzalez, Julia Kowalski, and Valeria Bruni-Tedeschi (Forever Young, Cannes 2022, The Summer House, The Three Sisters). She has also co-written several films with Philippe Garrel, including In the Shadow of Women and The Plough(Silver Bear, Berlinale 2023). She recently completed the adaptation of A Libertine Education by Jean-Baptiste Del Amo for Italian director Michele Pennetta, and is currently working on the adaptation of Rose Royal by Nicolas Mathieu, to be directed by Baya Kasmi.
