Ο Κόρι πεθαίνει από υπερβολική δόση ηρωίνης σε ένα εγκαταλελειμμένο σπίτι στη Βαλτιμόρη. Την παραμονή της κηδείας του, συγκεντρώνονται οικογένεια και φίλοι να τον τιμήσουν. Οι κοινές τους αναμνήσεις συνθέτουν το πορτρέτο μιας κοινότητας που αιωρείται, παραμορφωμένη από τη φτώχεια, τη ζωή στην πόλη και το χάσμα των γενεών, με μόνο κοινό την επιδίωξή τους για ένα νέο αμερικανικό όνειρο.

Synopsis:
Cory dies of a heroin overdose in an abandoned house in Baltimore. On the eve of his funeral, family and friends gather to commemorate his life. Their shared memories paint a portrait of a community hanging in the balance, skewed by poverty, city living, and a generational divide, united in their pursuit of a new American Dream.

Matt Porterfield (ΗΠΑ, 1977)
Ο Ματ σπούδασε κινηματογράφο στο Tisch School of the Arts του NYU, ενώ διδάσκει σενάριο και παραγωγή στο Πρόγραμμα Σπουδών Κινηματογράφου & Μέσων του Johns Hopkins University. Η πρώτη του ταινία μεγάλου μήκους με τίτλο "Hamilton", κυκλοφόρησε στις κινηματογραφικές αίθουσες το 2006. Το "Metal Gods", το δεύτερο μεγάλου μήκους σενάριό του, επιλέχθηκε για να συμμετάσχει στο Emerging Narrative Program στην Εβδομάδα Ανεξάρτητου Κινηματογράφου του IFP, όπου κέρδισε το Μεγάλο Βραβείο Panasonic Digital Filmmaking. Το "Putty Hill" είναι η δεύτερη μεγάλου μήκους ταινία του.

Matt Porterfield (USA, 1977)
Matt studied film at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and teaches screenwriting and production in the Film & Media Studies Program at Johns Hopkins University. His first feature, "Hamilton", was released theatrically in 2006. "Metal Gods", his second feature script, was selected to participate in the Emerging Narrative Program at IFP’s Independent Film Week, where the screenplay won the Panasonic Digital Filmmaking Grand Prize. "Putty Hill" is his second feature film.
